Dependent Child (age 19 or over) Leaves School

When your 19-24 year old dependent year old child graduates, leaves school or drops below "full time" student status, the child loses eligibility for dependent coverage under the Plan. However, the child may be eligible to continue coverage under COBRA for a limited time.

Benefit Plan Checklist

When your dependent child ceases to be a full time student, you must notify the Plan Office. You will become liable for any health claims paid by the Plan for any services provided after your dependent ceases to be eligible.

If Lineco is notified within 60 days of the dependent no longer being a full time student, COBRA coverage can continue for up to thirty-six months provided timely payments are made.
